Job summary

EdOps is seeking a Finance Team Manager to lead a team of accounting and finance professionals serving independent school clients. This role emphasizes quality control, staff development, and career guidance within a mission-driven context.

Reporting to senior leadership, the position offers location flexibility as a remote role, with part-time arrangements possible for exceptional candidates. The salary range is $96,200–$128,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Experience managing teams of finance or accounting professionals.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Experience with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online).
• Ability to write and clearly document processes and procedures.
• Typically, 10+ years of work or post-secondary educational experience, including 3+ years of management.
• Experience working with schools or non-profit organizations is a plus.
• Audit experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of analysts and finance specialists to meet EdOps standards and client needs.
• Train and coach staff and guide career paths within EdOps.
• Conduct annual reviews and mid-year deep dives for direct reports.
• Close the books monthly/quarterly/annually and ensure timely financial statements.
• Oversee grants administration and audits for schools.
• Support budgeting and liaise with School Finance Managers and state education authorities.
