Job summary

Easterseals MORC is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our finance team in a mostly remote role. The position focuses on financial insights, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support decisions and promote financial health across programs and services.

Responsibilities include monthly to annual reporting, variance analysis, cost assessments, and strategic modeling to inform senior leadership. Strong Excel and nonprofit experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 1–2 years of financial analysis or accounting experience.
• Non-profit financial experience is a plus, healthcare or CMH preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and understanding of financial principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Monitor performance by comparing actuals to budgets and forecasts.
• Provide financial insights to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Assist in annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Conduct variance analysis with department heads.
• Analyze costs for operations, programs, and services.
• Offer cost-control recommendations to management.
• Verify cost allocations according to procedures.
• Evaluate borrowing structures to optimize funding costs.
• Contribute data and analysis for strategic planning.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to senior leadership.
• Participate in special projects and financial modeling.
