Job summary

WCG is seeking a Budget Analyst to support the start-up process for site clients by completing clinical trial budget tasks. This role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration across teams to ensure smooth budget development and approval.

Responsibilities include protocol review, activity grid creation, CPT/HCPCS code identification, budget negotiations, and ongoing quality checks. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, with strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

• Bachelor’s degree in related field; significant work experience may substitute.
• Ability to work in a performance-driven environment with proactive, results-focused approach.
• Excellent attention to detail and highly organized.
• Strong ability to understand clinical terms and think analytically.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient with Excel.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of clinical trial budgets and budget negotiations.
• Read and analyze clinical trial protocols and develop activity grid to identify tests and assessments.
• Identify CPT/HCPCS codes for items in the activity grid using internal resources.
• Build comprehensive budgets based on client pricing methodologies and internal standards.
• Negotiate budgets with trial sponsor/CRO via email and phone.
• Review work as part of the internal quality review process.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
