Job summary

WCG is seeking a Budget Analyst to support clinical trial start-up financially by building and negotiating site budgets. You will read trial protocols, identify CPT/HCPCS items, and ensure budgets align with client pricing and internal standards.

This role requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate billing guidelines. Remote US- based position with responsibilities that include collaboration with trial sponsors and internal teams to accelerate study startup

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; significant related work may substitute.
• Ability to work in a performance-driven environment with proactive, results-driven approach.
• Excellent attention to detail and highly organized.
• Strong communication (oral/written) and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Excel.
• Familiarity with the clinical trial start-up process is preferred.
• Experience reading and interpreting clinical trial protocols.
• Familiarity with Medicare or healthcare billing practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and negotiate clinical trial budgets; duties may vary by team.
• Read and analyze trial protocols; build activity grid for tests and assessments.
• Use internal resources to identify CPT/HCPCS codes for items.
• Create comprehensive budgets based on client pricing and internal standards.
• Negotiate budgets with sponsors/CRO via email and phone.
• Review others’ work as part of quality checks.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
