Job summary

Pathward is seeking an Analyst, Case Operations to manage the day-to-day investigation and disposition of SAM cases within our BSA/AML & Sanctions Operations team. You will document investigations, support SAR referrals, and ensure compliance with BSA/AML regulations and OCC expectations.

Reporting to the Manager, BSA/AML Operations – Cases, you will partner with Alerts, Compliance, Technology, Data Analytics, and Assurance to maintain a well-governed program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; CAMS or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience in BSA/AML operations and SAM programs within financial services.
• Experience conducting case investigations and SAR referrals.
• Knowledge of Actimize, FCRM, and enterprise monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Investigate SAM cases, conduct enhanced due diligence and escalations.
• Review transactions and referrals; ensure SAR filings are accurate.
• Maintain SLAs and quality standards across investigations.
• Collaborate with Alerts, Compliance, Technology, Data Analytics, and Management.
• Assist in policy/procedure development and control design for case work.
• Support customer due diligence, sanctions screening, and risk assessment.
• Document outcomes with clear narratives for OCC/Board oversight.
• Perform root cause analysis and contribute to remediation actions.
