The Communications Designer will develop and manage Nava's brand, ensuring consistency across external and internal communications and acting as the primary emissary of the brand for internal communications. As part of the communications team, you will work on digital, print, and social projects that support brand strategy and business goals, collaborating with

Qualifications

• 5+ years design experience, with branding, design firm, or ad agency strongly preferred.
• Strong foundation in visual design, typography, layout, grid systems, and concept development.
• Literacy in web-based and print-based design software/processes.
• Ability to collaborate closely with a Frontend Designer and a printer.
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat), Google Drive (Slides, Docs, Sheets) and Figma.
• Experience developing brand strategy and creating artifacts that communicate a company's brand essence.
• Experience working with frontend developers.
• Proven ability to gain trust through sound creative, strategic, and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Develop Nava's brand identity system across mediums and drive adoption across the company.
• Manage brand assets including brand mark, typography, style guides, illustrations, and photography.
• Oversee external brand materials such as templates, signatures, and recruitment materials.
• Define and maintain brand strategy, audience segmentation, and usage guidelines.
• Support project work with visual and communications design as needed.
• Develop and maintain Nava-internal brand processes.
• Design Nava's annual reports for digital and print (Public Benefit Report, DEI Report).
• Contribute to experience design for events and create branded materials for events and conferences.
• Create templates and asset systems for bids to look branded and submission-ready.
• Collaborate with People Operations to brand internal trainings; work with BizOps on swag and processes.
