Job summary

Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking a Communications Designer to develop and manage our brand across internal and external channels.

You will steward the identity system, create branded materials, and collaborate with the comms team on digital, print, and social projects that align with Nava's vision and goals. The role requires 5+ years of design experience with branding, strong typography and layout skills, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Google Drive.

Qualifications

• 5+ years design experience, with branding, design firm, or ad agency preferred.
• Strong foundation in visual design, typography, layout, grid systems, and concept development.
• Literacy in web- and print-based design software/processes.
• Ability to collaborate with Frontend Designer and printer.
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
• Experience developing brand strategy and artifacts communicating brand essence.
• Experience working with frontend developers.
• Proven track record across creative, strategic, and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Develop Nava's brand identity system consistently across mediums and drive adoption.
• Manage brand assets including brand mark, typography, style guides, illustrations, photography.
• Oversee external materials like email signatures, LinkedIn headers, recruiting materials, and more.
• Shape Nava’s brand strategy with audience segmentation, competitive research, and usage guidelines.
• Support project work with visual and communications design when needed.
• Maintain Nava-internal brand processes and enable brand consistency.
• Design annual reports (digital and print) and conduct competitive analyses and user testing.
