Job summary

Citrin Cooperman & Company, LLP is seeking a Manager for Business Process Outsourcing to lead day-to-day financial operations for diverse clients. You will oversee accounts, payroll, and reporting, while managing onshore and offshore staff and ensuring adherence to internal controls and GAAP.

You will play a key role in budgets, forecasts, and technical accounting decisions, with client-facing responsibilities and opportunities to implement process improvements across engagements.

Qualifications

• Outstanding interpersonal communication and ability to build trusted relationships in person, over the phone, and in writing.
• Proven experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller or similar role.
• Experience across multiple industries including professional services, manufacturing, construction, and healthcare is valued.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and efficient financial processes (budgeting, closure, reporting).
• Experience with several accounting systems (QuickBooks, Xero, Dynamics, NetSuite, Intacct, ERP).
• Expert-level Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• ERP implementation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day financial operations like general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Monitor team usage of internal procedures, processes, and controls.
• Manage onshore and offshore staff performing transactional and accounting activities and data synthesis.
• Assist in preparing financial statements in line with guidelines and requirements.
• Manage communications with vendors, customers, partners, banks and other stakeholders.
• Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly/annual closings.
• Assist in budgets and forecasts.
• Review accounting information to identify inaccuracies.
• Assist in converting clients to new accounting systems and cleanup.
• Advise on technical accounting decisions and develop client models/analysis.
