Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Level 2.5 BMC Helix Support Engineer to bridge troubleshooting and advanced ITSM engineering. You will manage, configure, and optimize the BMC Helix ecosystem to ensure smooth IT operations.

You will diagnose incidents across ARS, SRM, SmartIT, and Smart Reporting, design workflows, handle REST API integrations, and support system administration with a focus on security and documentation. This role is remote and offers Cognizant’s incentive program.

Qualifications

• Typically 2–5 years hands-on experience with BMC Remedy ITSM/Helix.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Unix, SQL/Oracle, Web services, and REST API.
• Familiarity with Knowledge Management, Asset Management (CMDB), and Digital Workplace modules.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Troubleshooting: diagnose and resolve incidents across ARS, SRM, SmartIT, and Smart Reporting.
• Build and refine ITSM workflows to automate processes and simplify user steps within BMC Helix.
• Maintain foundation data, manage access rights/security administration, and assist user onboarding.
• Integrate systems with REST-based APIs and monitor performance.
• Escalate unresolved issues to BMC Helix R&D and document edge cases.
