Job summary

Bigham Cable Construction is seeking a Billing Specialist to join the Finance/Accounting team in a remote US-capable role. You will manage invoicing for telecom construction projects, coordinate data with project managers, and monitor receivables to support cash flow and timely payments.

Required are a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, 2+ years in billing/accounting, and strong communication and spreadsheet skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of billing/accounting experience in construction, utilities, telecom, or related industry.
• Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices for telecom construction and engineering services.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, and Construction teams to confirm billing data and milestones.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies; manage disputes with internal teams and customers.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and coordinate with collections to ensure timely payments.
• Produce monthly billing reports and dashboards to support forecasting and cash-flow planning.
• Maintain accurate billing data and ensure compliance with internal controls and audit standards.
• Support process improvements to enhance billing accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist with audits by providing billing documentation and explanations of variances.
