Job summary

Envita Medical Center is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our remote finance team. You will prepare and process invoices, maintain billing records, and resolve billing inquiries while ensuring timely payments from a home office.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment, supporting a fully remote finance operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is a plus.
• Previous experience in billing, accounting, bookkeeping, customer service, or administrative support is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Basic understanding of invoicing and financial recordkeeping.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and accounting or billing software is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home workspace.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process customer invoices accurately and on time.
• Maintain billing records and ensure all financial information is up to date.
• Verify billing data, pricing, and payment details for accuracy.
• Respond to customer billing inquiries via phone, email, and online communication platforms.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies promptly.
• Process account adjustments, credits, and payment applications when necessary.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with payment follow-ups.
• Collaborate with the accounting and customer service teams to resolve billing issues.
• Maintain confidential financial information and company records.
• Generate billing reports and assist with month-end reconciliation activities.
• Perform data entry and general administrative duties as assigned.
