Cox Automotive is seeking a Billing Specialist I to handle inbound inquiries by phone and email, and to work with internal teams on billing matters. You'll audit invoices, set up accounts, and resolve issues in a fast-paced, customer-facing role.

The position emphasizes accuracy, collaboration, and adherence to billing policies, with opportunities for routine process improvements and potential incentive programs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of billing-related experience, preferably in a customer-facing role
• Ability to articulate issues, document resolution, and know when to elevate
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Effective accounting, organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills required
• Experience with Oracle, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook highly valued

Responsibilities

• Process billing transactions, invoices, credits, and adjustments accurately and on time
• Set up and maintain customer accounts in billing systems
• Review, verify, and audit billing information for accuracy
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
• Post payments and adjustments to customer accounts
• Monitor billing reports for exceptions or issues
• Assist with collections-related activities and payment tracking
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve billing concerns
• Maintain records and supporting documentation
• Follow billing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Support process improvements for billing efficiency
• Perform other duties as assigned
