Job summary

World Fuel is seeking a detail-oriented Billing & Financial Operations Specialist to join our Financial Operations team. This role focuses on managing the invoicing lifecycle, ensuring supplier invoices are received, reviewed, processed, and billed accurately and on time.

You will partner with internal teams and external stakeholders, help resolve billing inquiries, support financial operations processes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in financial operations, billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, or related role.
• Strong English communication skills (B2 level or above).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with ERP, invoicing, or financial management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage the timely receipt of fuel and non-fuel supplier invoices.
• Review and validate supporting documentation (fuel tickets, invoices, pricing, taxes).
• Process billing transactions within internal systems accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure customer invoices are generated and distributed on schedule.
• Maintain accurate billing process documentation and records.
• Serve as primary contact for billing inquiries; respond professionally to invoice status questions.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Supply, Accounting, AP, Sales and others to resolve issues.
• Support requests from external customers, suppliers, and auditors.
• Research pricing discrepancies and billing exceptions; track exception reporting.
