Job summary

Premera Blue Cross is seeking a Membership Specialist II to perform complex reconciliation, enrollment processing, and billing support for Individual or Group accounts. You will use reconciliation databases and tools to resolve issues, while maintaining clear notes and quality standards.

The role emphasizes coordination with internal/external partners, educating members and brokers on enrollment and billing processes, and timely response to inquiries.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (Required).
• Two years of accounting/finance/bookkeeping experience (Required).
• One year of Membership Analyst I or reconciliation experience (Required).
• Health or insurance industry experience (Preferred).
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Identify, resolve, and document complex reconciliation discrepancies.
• Process refunds, transfers of premiums, and reinstatements.
• Update eligibility, enrollment and reconciliation data using Excel/Access.
• Meet department production and quality metrics.
• Educate members/brokers on enrollment and billing processes.
• Respond to member/broker inquiries and ensure timely communication.
