Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Business Intelligence Lead to drive data-driven insights for the Growth Analytics & AI Team.

You will apply SQL, Python/PySpark, and Power BI to solve complex business problems using diverse internal and external data sources. The role is remote across the United States, with responsibilities to build production data pipelines, establish data governance, and partner with product, engineering, and leadership to translate requirements into actionable analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of technical experience in data analysis or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience
• Advanced Python/PySpark experience
• Advanced Databricks experience including Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, scheduled jobs/workflows, and service principal authentication
• Experience refactoring and optimizing Python/PySpark codebases
• Experience building production data pipelines with enforced schemas, validation gates, and structured error logging
• Advanced SQL experience including stored procedure execution and read/write integration with SQL Server
• Git-based engineering practice: branching, pull requests, code review, and CI/CD
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and translating requirements between business, project management and technical projects or programs
• Proficiency in verbal and written communications to senior and executive leadership
• Must be willing to remain in this position for 12 months before applying to other Humana opportunities

Responsibilities

• Solve complex business problems using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers
• Refactor and optimize Python/PySpark codebases and build production data pipelines with proper schemas and logs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and technical requirements into analytics
• Support senior and executive leadership with data-driven insights and dashboards
