Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Business Intelligence Lead to solve complex data problems using Python/PySpark, SQL, and Power BI. This remote US role reports to the Business Intelligence Principal and collaborates with Growth Analytics & AI to deliver data-driven insights for leadership.

Required: advanced Python/PySpark, Databricks (Unity Catalog/Delta Lake), SQL Server integration, Git-based CI/CD, and strong communication. Travel may be required; 40-hour weeks with potential bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of technical experience in data analysis OR a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience
• Advanced Python/PySpark experience
• Advanced experience in Databricks, including Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, schedules, and service principal authentication
• Experience refactoring and optimizing Python/PySpark codebases
• Experience building production data pipelines with enforced schemas, validation gates, and structured error logging
• Advanced SQL experience, including stored procedure execution and read/write integration with SQL Server
• Experience with Git-based engineering practice: branching, PRs, code review, and CI/CD
• Experience translating requirements between business, PM and technical teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication to senior/executive leadership
• Willingness to stay in role 12 months before applying to other Humana opportunities
