Job summary

Symetra is seeking a Benefits Specialist to act as a dedicated service contact for a 100–499 lives book of business. You will support Regional Executives across Life, Disability, Absence Management and Supplemental Health lines, resolving issues and driving retention and growth.

The role involves partnering with internal teams, attending renewal discussions, and occasionally traveling for face-to-face meetings with clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide service to an existing book of business and serve as primary service contact for accounts ranging 100–499 lives.
• Respond to customer inquiries by 2pm in the same day.
• Build relationships and collaborate with internal partners for consultative support.
• Partner with Implementation Managers to implement new business.
• Manage day-to-day service work including changes, licensing updates, billing resolutions, data feed setup, and enrollment support.
• Attend face-to-face meetings with customers (up to 5% travel).
• Collaborate with Regional Account Manager on larger cases to deliver a dedicated service approach.
• Identify growth opportunities with Regional Sales Executives.
• Drive proactive service touchpoints and track key activities.
• Coordinate renewal processes and underwriting interactions.
