Job summary

Symetra seeks a Benefits Specialist to manage service for a 100–499 lives block, supporting Regional Executives and Sales Executives in Life, Disability, and other product lines. You will nurture client relationships, resolve issues, and drive growth in collaboration with implementation and underwriting teams.

The role emphasizes strong communication, billing and renewal management, and occasional travel for client meetings, with a flexible hybrid work arrangement. Partial travel may apply.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to handle a book of business with 100–499 lives and provide proactive service.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication to clients and internal partners.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple cases.
• Familiarity with contract provisions and renewal processes is a plus.
• Comfort with data entry, billing resolutions and enrollment events.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary service contact for a 100–499 lives book of business.
• Respond to customer inquiries by 2pm the same day and provide consultative support.
• Collaborate with internal partners and implement new business with Managers.
• Manage day-to-day service work including licensing, amendments and billing.
• Support enrollment events and coordinate renewals with underwriting and sales.
