Job summary

The Standard is seeking an Account Manager for Employee Group Benefits to serve as the primary liaison for key policyholders and producers across a defined U.S. territory.

You will conduct on-site visits, negotiate with home office teams, and drive renewal actions to improve claim experience and contract terms. Responsibilities include preparing renewal analyses, coordinating with underwriters, and coordinating enrollment activities for new and existing groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in group insurance account management for 2,500+ lives advised.
• Life and Disability insurance license for all states within the territory.
• Personal automobile available for business use with adequate insurance.
• Ability to travel within the territory for face-to-face meetings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage effective relationships with key policyholders and producers through on-site visits and proactive communication.
• Coordinate with home office to initiate plan improvements and resolve administrative issues.
• Present renewal analyses and advise on coverage or contractual changes to optimize experience and rates.
• Negotiate rates and contract provisions with regional or national accounts.
• Identify opportunities to sell additional lines of coverage or plan improvements.
• Lead installation of new groups with policyholder, producer and home office.
• Facilitate enrollment processes and participate in benefit fairs when needed.
