Job summary

Higginbotham seeks an experienced Employee Benefits Account Executive to lead complex client engagements and ensure top-tier service delivery. You will act as the primary advisor, coordinate account teams, and drive renewal and new business initiatives across benefit programs.

The role emphasizes technical expertise, compliance awareness, and proactive client engagement to retain and expand strategic relationships. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as an Account Manager or Senior Account Manager in the insurance industry
• Experience with ACA and ERISA Required
• Experience with fully insured financial arrangements and alternate funding methods required

Responsibilities

• Manages a complex book of business and accounts comprised of clients with mostly self-funded methods
• Provides strong insurance technical expertise to clients and internal teams
• Develops, executes, and monitors comprehensive customer service plans that reflect the customer's business and risk management goals
• Oversees data preparation for RFPs and manages the marketing/negotiation process for clients
• Assists in renewal and new business proposals
• Prepares materials for client meetings and educates clients on employee benefit topics and compliance
