Job summary

Higginbotham, a leading independent insurance broker, seeks an Account Executive- Employee Benefits in Houston to serve as the primary client advisor and operational leader for complex benefit accounts.

You will execute the client service strategy, oversee the account team, and ensure delivery aligned with the firm’s Gold Standard Service Model, focusing on technical expertise, service, compliance, and proactive client engagement.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as an Account Manager or Senior Account Manager in the insurance industry.
• Experience with ACA and ERISA Required.
• Experience with fully insured financial arrangements and alternate funding methods required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor account teams for complex employee benefits accounts.
• Deliver service plans, renewals, and client communications.
• Coordinate RFPs, data analysis, and client meetings.
• Educate clients on benefits topics and compliance.
• Maintain data and reports; support cross-selling opportunities.
