Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking a Resource & Referral Specialist to support the Massachusetts Behavioral Health Help Line. This role involves screening, assessments, and telephonic intervention using established protocols to determine an immediate course of action, with a nationwide 24/7 call center.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent with 1 year in behavioral health or 6 months crisis experience
• BS/BA in mental health or human services and two years direct experience preferred
• Call center experience preferred; Suicide/crisis line experience preferred
• Bilingual candidates preferred

Responsibilities

• Take inbound calls, texts and chats for the MA Behavioral Health Helpline
• Perform safety screenings and assessments to determine risk
• Develop an action plan in collaboration with the individual
• Document interactions accurately per criteria and timeline
• Provide linkage follow-up to ensure access to services
• Coordinate with agencies to optimize resource use and ensure HIPAA compliance
