Job summary

Merck seeks a Territory Representative for the South Eastern KS cattle market to drive sales of our Animal Health products and deliver value through technical knowledge and education to customers.

The role focuses on understanding customer needs, developing account plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute customer strategies. Travel overnight is required; remote work arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• Beef cattle industry familiarity
• Excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment
• Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and iPad
• Ability to travel overnight and some weekends

Responsibilities

• Communicates about product in a meaningful way to customers.
• Primary contact for assigned customers; meets key decision makers.
• Develop customer strategy and identify sales opportunities.
• Develop territory and account plans with partners to drive growth.
• Collaborate across species teams to enhance product knowledge.
• Share knowledge with regional team to foster growth.
• Analyze sales results monthly and manage expenses within budget.
• Identify programs and training opportunities for accounts.
• Deliver offerings addressing customer needs with leadership support.
• Keep informed about product, industry trends and competitor landscape.
