Job summary

Merck is seeking a Territory Representative for the South Eastern KS cattle market. You will work face to face with customers, understand needs, and tailor solutions within our Animal Health portfolio to drive sales.

The role requires travel up to 50%, strong communication, and ability to develop strategic plans with distributors and accounts. A beef cattle background and field sales experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Beef cattle industry familiarity.
• Excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel overnight and some weekend activity.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint; able to use an iPad.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Communicates about product in a way that's meaningful to each customer; tailors discussions to needs.
• Primary contact for assigned customers; meets with decision makers to identify opportunities.
• Develop customer strategy and account plans to drive sales growth of Animal Health division products.
• Collaborate with National Account Managers and Distribution Partners to maintain focus on accounts.
• Work with leadership and Field Technical Services to deliver offerings addressing customer needs.
• Develop understanding of product portfolio, industry trends, and competitor landscape.
