Qualifications

• 5+ years in business development, client acquisition or growth within a medical communications or life sciences agency.
• Proven success developing new business with pharmaceutical/biotech companies.
• Experience managing B2B BD from prospecting to closing.
• Ability to engage senior stakeholders in Medical Affairs/Medical Information (Heads/VPs/Directors).
• Strong consultative selling and value-based communication skills.
• Willingness to travel within California and the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to acquire new pharma/biotech clients.
• Identify target companies and senior decision-makers.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders in Medical Affairs and Medical Information.
• Lead BD process from prospecting through proposals, negotiation, and closing.
• Represent the organization at conferences and industry events.
• Maintain a qualified BD pipeline and monitor industry trends.
• Collaborate with scientific and operational teams to tailor solutions.
• Travel within California and nationwide as required.
