Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in business development within medical communications or life sciences agencies.
• Proven experience developing new business with pharmaceutical/biotech companies.
• Experience engaging senior stakeholders in Medical Affairs/Medical Information (Heads, VPs, Directors).
• Experience selling professional services in medical communications or related solutions.
• Willingness to travel within California and the U.S. as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to acquire new pharmaceutical/biotechnology clients.
• Identify target companies and senior decision-makers within prospective client organizations.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders within Medical Affairs and Medical Information.
• Generate and develop qualified new business opportunities across life sciences organizations.
• Lead the business development process from prospecting through closing.
• Represent the organization at industry conferences and events.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand client requirements and craft solutions.
