Job summary

Biotage in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to promote analytical testing instruments and consumables within an assigned territory, collaborate with account managers, and drive revenue growth.

You will prospect, generate leads, follow up on opportunities, and support the field team with quotes, demos (virtual or live), literature requests and order processing while maintaining accurate SFDC records for forecasting. Hybrid role with onsite 3 days/week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or related science degree preferred.
• 1+ years of experience and/or training in a field or inside sales position is preferred but not required.
• 1+ years of experience working in an analytical chemistry or LCMS lab is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve defined monthly, quarterly and annual targets for revenue in a defined geography and specific product volumes.
• Proactively contact current and new customers related to Analytical Testing to promote, sell and/or increase consumable revenue.
• Fully utilizes the SalesForce.com account and opportunity management platform ensuring all activities are captured.
• Maintains up-to-date account data related to account status, user/contact, and system/consumable purchasing history.
• Support field team members with SFDC opportunity entry, reporting and maintenance.
• Manage and own inside sales lead queues and lead follow up for assigned regions.
• Timely follow up and qualification of leads and document results in SalesForce.
• Supports customers with demo’s (virtual or live), literature and sample requests as well as product quotations.
• Develop a strong working knowledge on Analytical Testing Products (TurboVap, Extrahera, SpeedDry, Lysera, SPE).
• Engage with Biotage peers from sales and other functions to leverage skills and knowledge.
• Set up product demonstrations and presentations either virtually or in person.
• Provide on time and accurate sales forecasts.
