LG Energy Solution Vertech, Inc. is seeking a remotely located Warranty Technical Specialist (Contractor) to evaluate and validate warranty claims across a fleet of battery energy storage systems.

You will partner with operations, engineering and OEMs to assess failures, verify warranty applicability, and drive timely resolution. The role blends hands-on system knowledge with data-driven decision-making to maximize warranty recovery while improving asset reliability and vendor accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in troubleshooting, system performance analysis, or warranty engineering.
• Ability to interpret and correlate large operational datasets.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation discipline.
• Ability to manage multiple technical issues simultaneously.
• 2–3+ years in energy storage, renewables, or power systems.
• Direct exposure to BESS or power electronics preferred.
• Familiarity with Li-ion battery chemistries and BMS.
• Experience supporting warranty claims with OEMs.
• Knowledge of performance guarantees and reliability methods.
• Excel data analysis and trend evaluation.
• Python/SQL or similar data tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Technical Warranty Evaluation and validation of warranty claims.
• Review claims for technical validity based on data and contract terms.
• Prepare claim documentation with technical justification and evidence.
• Validate OEM root cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Diagnose issues using SCADA/EMS data and field reports.
• Support RCA using structured methodologies.
• Serve as technical contact for OEMs and vendors on warranty matters.
• Participate in claim reviews and resolution planning.
• Track and verify corrective actions and repairs.
• Collaborate with operations, field service, warranty administration, and asset management.
• Prepare technical summaries, incident reports, and support packs.
• Contribute to warranty trend reports and supplier performance.
