Job summary

SmartTech Contracting LLC is seeking a Building Automation Systems Field Technician II in the Ashburn, VA area. The role supports installation, startup, testing and commissioning of BAS/controls in commercial and data-center settings, under supervision.

Candidates should have BAS knowledge, strong documentation skills and ability to communicate with project teams. Remote-friendly, with local travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or technical certificate in BAS or related field, or 2 years hands-on experience.
• Experience with installation, testing, validation and troubleshooting of controls infrastructure.
• Ability to work under supervision and in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, startup and commissioning of BAS/HVAC controls.
• Support site testing, QAQC and closeout activities.
• Prepare markup for shop drawings and organize materials.
• Communicate project updates and participate in meetings.
