Job summary

SmartTech Contracting LLC is seeking a Building Automation Systems Lead Field Technician in Ashburn, VA. You will install BAS/HVAC controls, direct installers, and collaborate with programmers to support project start-up, testing, and commissioning for mission-critical facilities.

Based in the IAD region, you will coordinate with design engineers, vendors, and clients, lead daily meetings, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or related discipline.
Two years of hands-on installation, testing, validation and troubleshooting of controls infrastructure.
Minimum of five years of additional experience with installation, testing, validation and troubleshooting of controls infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Install BAS/HVAC controls systems and coordinate installation teams.
Support startup, commissioning and closeout activities; assist software lead with testing.
Maintain project communications with clients, subcontractors and project managers.
