Job summary

DLB Associates is seeking a BAS Design Manager to lead building automation systems design across mission-critical projects. This remote-friendly role emphasizes BAS, PMS, and integrated controls, coordinating with engineers, vendors, and clients to ensure design integrity and on-time delivery.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 years in BAS controls, proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit, and knowledge of BACnet/Modbus/SNMP. Travel about 10% across the U.S.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. degree in engineering, construction or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 5 years of BAS controls systems engineering experience.
• Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus and SNMP protocols.
• Experience with open-source protocols and IoT/smart building solutions.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit for drawings and documentation.
• Strong client interaction and project coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead BAS/PMS design and integration for mission-critical projects.
• Develop and maintain BAS/EPMS standards and specifications.
• Coordinate with subconsultants, MEP teams, contractors, and clients.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and punch lists.
• Provide onsite and remote engineering support and QA/QC oversight.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and outputs.
