Job summary

Affirm is seeking a test automation engineer to own and scale our integration and end-to-end testing. You’ll strengthen CI pipelines, reduce run times, and improve stability while collaborating with engineers across the company.

This remote-first role in the United States requires 3+ years in test automation and expertise in TypeScript, Python, Playwright, and Pytest. You’ll help shape our test strategy and drive quality across products.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in test automation.
• Proficient in TypeScript and Python.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright and Pytest.
• Experience building and optimizing CI pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and AWS.
• Strong background in QA, test design, and testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Own, improve, and maintain integration and E2E test automation frameworks and CI pipelines.
• Design and implement solutions to optimize test execution time and stability.
• Write technical specifications and ADRs, contribute to design with engineers.
• Support engineering teams with triage and QA best practices.
• Evolve the company’s test strategy.
• Break down projects into tasks and deliver in phases; collaborate for timely delivery.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
