Qualifications

• 8+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
• Experience with highly available distributed systems.
• Experience with payments, commerce, ledger or financially-sensitive domains is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for the team on a year-long scale and tie it to business-impacting projects.
• Collaborate with product management, design and analytics to ensure sustainability and risk management.
• Act as a force-multiplier by defining technical solutions and operational processes.
• Own the team's operations and availability with monitoring, on-call playbooks and testing.
• Foster a culture of quality by setting review and design standards and sharing them across teams.
• Develop team talent through feedback and guidance.
