Job summary

Affirm is a remote-first company seeking an experienced test automation engineer to own and improve end-to-end testing frameworks, maintain CI pipelines, and collaborate with engineers across the company.

You will design scalable solutions in TypeScript and Python, work with Playwright and Pytest, and help optimize test execution time while contributing to the overall test strategy. This role includes an on-call rotation and requires strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in test automation.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript and Python.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright and Pytest.
• Experience building and optimizing CI pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and AWS.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in test design and QA methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Own, improve, and maintain integration and end-to-end test automation frameworks and CI pipelines.
• Design and implement technical solutions to optimize test execution time and stability.
• Write technical specifications and ADRs; contribute to solution design and collaborate with engineers.
• Support engineering teams by triaging requests and sharing QA best practices.
• Contribute to the evolution of the company’s test strategy.
• Break down larger projects into tasks and deliver in phases with the team.
