Job summary

Affirm is seeking a skilled test automation engineer to own and evolve our end-to-end testing platforms, frameworks, and CI pipelines. You will design, implement, and optimize solutions across multiple services, collaborate with engineers, and write ADRs for technical decisions.

You'll work with Playwright, Pytest, TypeScript, and Python, help improve test stability, and contribute to the overall QA strategy. This remote-first role offers strong growth and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in test automation.
• Proficient in TypeScript and Python.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright and Pytest.
• Experience in building and optimizing CI pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and AWS.
• Strong background in QA, test design, and testing techniques.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with async documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Own, improve, and maintain integration and E2E test automation frameworks and CI pipelines.
• Design and implement technical solutions to optimize test execution time and stability.
• Write technical specs and ADRs; collaborate with engineers across the company.
• Support engineering teams by triaging and sharing QA best practices.
• Contribute to the evolution of the company’s overall test strategy.
• Break down large projects into tasks and deliver in phases, with timely delivery.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
