Job summary

Speechify is seeking a backend engineer to design, build, and maintain robust APIs (public and internal) that power payments, subscriptions, authentication, analytics, and TTS features. You will advance the full API landscape for performance, reliability, and scalability.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy, supporting enterprise integrations and high-availability deployments in a distributed, async-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience with TS/Node.
• Cloud experience with GCP and/or AWS/Azure.
• Strong API design and scalable backend architecture knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS and internal services such as Payments, Subscriptions, Auth and Tracking.
• Oversee the full backend API landscape, optimizing performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on enterprise client integrations and B2B solutions with cross-functional teams.
