Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust APIs, including public TTS and internal services for payments, subscriptions, and analytics.

The role focuses on scalable backend architecture, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering excellent user experiences in a fast-paced, distributed environment. Remote work is supported with competitive compensation and stock options.

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience using TS/Node.
• Experience with cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure) and scalable APIs.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API, internal APIs like Payment, Subscription, Auth and Consumption Tracking, ensuring they meet business and scalability requirements
• Oversee the full backend API landscape, enhancing and optimizing for performance and maintainability
• Collaborate on B2B solutions, focusing on customization and integration needs for enterprise clients
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with overall product strategy and user experience
