Job summary

Speechify is a distributed tech company delivering text-to-speech products across iOS, Android, Mac, Chrome, and Web. The Platform team designs and maintains backend services for payments, analytics, subscriptions, TTS, and external APIs.

We seek a strategic backend engineer proficient in TS/Node, cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure), and container tech (Docker, Kubernetes) to drive scalable APIs for enterprise clients; the interview process is fast, typically within one week.

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience with TS/Node.
• Experience with cloud providers (GCP, AWS or Azure).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend APIs including public TTS API, internal APIs like Payment, Subscription, Auth and Consumption Tracking, ensuring they meet business and scalability requirements.
• Oversee the full backend API landscape, enhancing and optimizing for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions, focusing on customization and integration needs for enterprise clients.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with overall product strategy and user experience.
