Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a remote Business Analyst specializing in Federal Grants & eRA Systems to support EPA initiatives. The role focuses on mapping and improving grant-related processes, ensuring regulatory alignment, and coordinating with implementation teams through testing and UAT.

The ideal candidate has extensive BA experience in federal grants, strong knowledge of eRA/GrantSolutions, and the ability to work independently in a remote setup. Public Trust clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's with 12+ years of business analysis experience (or commensurate experience).
• Direct Experience: support implementations, migrations, or modernizations of eRA or GrantSolutions in a federal agency environment.
• Domain Expertise: federal grant policies, FOAs/NOFOs, award obligation, post-award monitoring.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid-remote environment.
• Clearance Required: ability to maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Master all aspects of User Roles and Use Cases for the EPA Next Gen Grant System with training docs.
• Serve as an Analyst or Senior Analyst during development, deployment, or enhancement of eRA Commons/GrantSolution.
• Analyze and document as-is and to-be business processes across federal grant lifecycle.
• Identify bottlenecks, compliance gaps, and opportunities for workflow automation.
• Support gap analysis and recommendations to migrate to standardized To Be state.
• Coordinate with the implementation team on testing and clarification activities.
• Support testing activities (UAT, DR) and meetings with Customer and Business POCs.
