Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a remote Business Analyst (Federal Grants & eRA Systems) to support EPA programs. The role focuses on governing user roles, documenting processes, and aligning workflows with federal grant life cycles.

You will analyze as-is processes, perform gap analyses, support testing activities, and collaborate with the customer and implementation teams to drive standardized To-Be states. A strong background in grants and compliance is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with multiple years of business analysis experience in federal or large-scale IT projects.
• Direct experience supporting implementations or modernization of eRA or GrantSolutions in a federal agency.
• Thorough understanding of federal grant policies, FOAs/NOFOs, and post-award monitoring.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Master user roles and use cases for the EPA Next Generation Grant System, including training docs.
• Analyze as-is and to-be processes across the grant lifecycle.
• Identify bottlenecks and compliance gaps; propose workflow automation.
• Support gap/ trade-off analyses to migrate to standardized To-Be state.
• Coordinate with implementation team on testing and UAT.
