Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a talented Edifecs DevSecOps Engineer to lead cloud migration and design robust architectures in a remote capacity for VA workloads.

The role requires 8+ years in cloud engineering with extensive AWS expertise, DevSecOps practices, and strong scripting and IaC skills, including CloudFormation, Terraform, and CDK. US citizenship and Public Trust clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, deploying, and managing AWS infrastructure
• Experience with high-availability, scalable cloud architectures
• Knowledge of HIPAA, GDPR, PCI DSS security requirements is preferred
• Proficiency with automation and scripting for CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with multi-account AWS environments and AWS Organizations

Responsibilities

• Lead migration to the cloud and design cloud architectures
• Create data flow and architecture diagrams for cloud systems
• Develop, deploy, and operate automation for CI/CD pipelines
• Manage IAM, permissions, and security for cloud resources
• Implement monitoring and compliance across VA EC2, S3, RDS, and other services
• Provide cloud support for VAEC environments in AWS GovCloud
• Mentor junior engineers and lead cross-functional projects
• Be on-call for emergency support and incident response
