Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented Edifecs DevSecOps Engineer to support VA cloud environments in a remote capacity. This is a 100% U.S.-based remote position with a Public Trust (MBI) clearance path and a W-2 arrangement.

The role focuses on migrating to the cloud, building CI/CD automation, cloud security, and VAEC/GovCloud deployments. Candidates should have 8+ years in cloud engineering, Edifecs experience, and deep AWS expertise.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of cloud engineering experience.
• Experience with Edifecs and AWS.
• Strong CI/CD and automation background.
• Security and compliance focus (HIPAA/PCI) in cloud.
• Experience with IaC tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK).
• Ability to multi-task and mentor junior engineers.

Responsabilités

• Spearhead migration to the cloud and design cloud diagrams.
• Design, develop, deploy, and operate CI/CD automation.
• Manage permissions in cloud accounts and enforce security controls.
• Implement monitoring across cloud architecture and applications.
• Provide cloud support for VAEC AWS GovCloud environments and VIP compliance.
• Mentor teammates and lead technical projects.
