Job summary
Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking an Edifecs DevSecOps Engineer to lead cloud migrations and secure VAEC deployments. This remote, full-time role requires expertise in AWS, CI/CD tooling, IaC, and secure cloud architectures.
The candidate should have 8+ years in cloud engineering, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Ideal candidates will design and implement scalable cloud solutions, manage multi-account AWS environments, and ensure compliance with VA and
Qualifications
- Proven AWS design, deployment and operational experience.
- Experience with large-scale, highly available cloud architectures.
- Strong security focus with HIPAA/GDPR/PCI DSS awareness.
- Hands-on with IaC tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK).
- Proficient in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell, NodeJS).
Responsibilities
- Spearhead migration to the cloud and modern CI/CD.
- Design diagrams for cloud infrastructure and apps.
- Develop, deploy and operate automation for CI/CD.
- Manage cloud permissions and security controls.
- Implement monitoring for VAEC environments and AWS GovCloud.
- Provide cloud support for VAEC deployments and VIP releases.
- Promote a DevOps mindset across teams.
- Produce security provider documentation.
- Design cloud-ready VAEC solutions and close gaps.
