Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an AWS Cloud Ops Engineer to monitor, operate, and support AWS infrastructure across production and non-production environments. You will perform health checks, manage backups, and coordinate deployment runbooks while ensuring on-call readiness.

This role requires 5+ years in IT infrastructure with 3+ years AWS operations experience, and familiarity with CloudWatch, Dynatrace, and TriZetto Facets related environments. Remote option in the US.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT infrastructure or cloud operations experience.
• 3+ years hands-on AWS operations experience preferred.
• Experience supporting production AWS workloads and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily AWS cloud infrastructure health checks and readiness checks.
• Configure and enhance monitoring using CloudWatch and Dynatrace with dashboards and alerts.
• Investigate outages, performance issues, and infrastructure anomalies.
• Manage EBS snapshots, backups, and disk sizing for EC2/RDS.
• Handle VPC logs, EC2 logs, S3 bucket access policies, and cross-account sharing.
• Support deployment runbooks and weekend service communications.
