Job summary

Cognizant is hiring an AWS Cloud Ops Engineer to monitor, operate, and support AWS infrastructure across production and non-production environments. The role includes health checks, CloudWatch/Dynatrace monitoring, incident handling, backups, log management, DNS and firewall coordination, and runbooks execution in a remote-capable setup out of Eagan, MN.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT infrastructure or cloud ops experience.
• 3+ years hands-on AWS operations experience.
• Experience with production AWS workloads and incident response.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with TriZetto Facets is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily AWS cloud infrastructure health checks and readiness verifications.
• Configure CloudWatch and Dynatrace dashboards, alarms, and notifications.
• Investigate monitoring alerts for outages and performance issues.
• Manage EBS snapshots, backups, and operational reporting.
• Handle VPC Flow Logs, EC2 logs, and access policies across AWS accounts.
• Support deployments by executing approved runbooks and weekend communications.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation and support TriZetto Facets installation activities.
