Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an AWS Cloud Ops Engineer to monitor and support AWS infrastructure across production and non-production environments. You will perform daily health checks, configure monitoring with CloudWatch and Dynatrace, investigate incidents, and manage backups and logs within the Eagan landing zone.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in IT infrastructure or cloud operations and 3+ years with AWS, with strong communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT infrastructure, cloud operations, production support, or systems engineering experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on AWS operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily AWS cloud infrastructure health checks including disk space validation, agent status, and availability.
• Configure and enhance monitoring with CloudWatch and Dynatrace, dashboards, alarms and notifications.
• Investigate alerts for outages, performance issues, and infrastructure anomalies.
• Configure CloudWatch alerts to notify on-call for critical incidents.
• Manage production EBS snapshots, disk sizing requests, and backup validation for EC2/RDS.
