The role requires 5+ years in software engineering for autonomous vehicles or robotics, with expertise in planning algorithms such as RRT, A*, and MPC, and strong C++ skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering focused on autonomous vehicles or robotics.
• Expertise in designing and implementing planning algorithms (RRT, A*, MPC).
• Proficiency in C++ and trajectory optimization for real-time systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced motion planning algorithms for complex urban navigation.
• Optimize vehicle trajectories using Model Predictive Control (MPC) to ensure comfort and safety.
• Develop software solutions that handle high-frequency real-time constraints in an on-vehicle environment.
• Collaborate with perception and control teams to integrate planning logic with sensor data and hardware actuators.
• Refine pathfinding behaviors to account for diverse road participants and edge-case traffic scenarios.
• Analyze flight or drive data to iterate on planner performance and decision-making logic.
