Job summary

General Motors Field Service Engineers provide on-site automotive diagnostic and repair support to GM's retail and wholesale networks. Qualifications

• 2-5 years of hands-on automotive dealership service or repair experience.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Able to manage and close dispatch cases promptly.
• Capable of self-training and working with minimal direction.
• Strong history of maintaining customer satisfaction across a multi-location territory.

Responsibilities

• Provide third-level on-site support to resolve escalated automotive issues.
• Assist dealerships to prevent repurchases and reduce warranty expense.
• Collaborate with DMPS, BRM, and BRC to coordinate service readiness.
• Conduct in-dealership training and share technical information.
• Travel to dealership sites as required and maintain dealer relationships.
• Report on dealership health and readiness to prevent buybacks.
