Job summary

State Farm is seeking an Auto Estimator in Orange, CT for a Remote-Field role, combining home-based virtual estimates with in-person shop visits. You will gather vehicle data, prepare estimates, and guide insureds through the claims process with Remarkable service.

You’ll use CCC One or Mitchell and work with claim handlers, ensuring accurate repairs, strong communication, and timely responses. A valid driver's license is required, with MVR checks as part of the process.

Qualifications

• Auto collision repair, auto damage estimating, and/or auto insurance appraiser experience
• Excellent customer service, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task across technical platforms
• Accountability and Resourcefulness
• Physical agility to evaluate vehicle damage and create repair estimates
• A valid driver's license is required, as driving is an essential function of this job.

Responsibilities

• Collect vehicle information from repair shops or customers and complete initial and supplemental estimates via photos or in person
• Meet with insureds to explain coverage, estimate damage, and assist through the claims process with Remarkable service
• Use estimating systems to prepare repair estimates and support claim handlers on vehicle repair issues
• Evaluate bid content, photo documentation, and causation issues
• Interact with customers and repair shops via inbound/outbound calls
• Provide timely, professional customer service throughout the claims process
