Job summary

State Farm is hiring an Auto Estimator for a Remote-Field role based in Atlanta, GA. The position combines virtual estimates from home with in-person appointments at body shops and customer sites, serving insureds through the claims process with a focus on service quality.

You'll collect vehicle information, use automated estimating systems, and collaborate with claim handlers to finalize repairs. A valid driver's license and prior auto estimating experience are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in auto collision repair, auto damage estimating, and/or auto insurance appraising.
• Excellent customer service, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to multi-task across technical platforms.
• Accountability and resourcefulness.
• Physical agility to inspect vehicles and create estimates.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Use automated estimating systems to prepare repair estimates.
• Provide technical support to claim handlers on vehicle repair issues.
• Apply knowledge of market value and factors affecting reparability.
• Evaluate bid content, photo documentation, vehicle damage, and causation issues.
• Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls to customers and repair shops.
• Deliver remarkable service throughout the claims process and address inquiries promptly.
• Interact with parties who may have strong emotions about inspections or resolutions.
